The Fayetteville-Manlius football team demolished Nottingham with a 49-8 win to kick off their homecoming weekend. The energy from the fans helped propel the Hornets to the big victory.
There were many events that took place throughout the game such as the cheerleading performances, dance team performances, and the floats. With the theme of video games each class put their own spin on their floats. The class of ‘29 took on Just Dance, the ‘28s with Minecraft, ‘27s were Pac-Man, and the ‘26s, with the most applause and the first place prize, Super Mario. All the classes put in a lot of effort in weeks prior to get these floats done. To show their class pride, many of the students walked with their floats to get the crowd hype.

The FM cheerleaders were lively throughout the whole game. When halftime hit the team did a surprise performance with the Nottingham cheer team. They united the two schools, and the crowd was up on their feet. The dance team was energetic and dynamic with their performance. Taking the turf at halftime they filled the field with their amazing moves. They put on a show and the applause filled the stands.
After the outstanding win, the Hornets football team went on to run up Pride Hill and celebrated their win with their fans. Everyone was jumping, and just so excited to add another win to the record. The players took pictures with their family and friends, and then headed back out onto the turf, to get congratulations from their coach. Everyone was looking forward to gathering the next day at the homecoming dance.
