A little over a year since the release of her eleventh album, The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift has finally announced her twelfth album, named The Life of a Showgirl.  After an “easter egg” post from Swift’s social media team, Taylor Nation, on the morning of August 11th, a countdown to 12:12 am on August 12th commenced on her website. 

As the “Swifties” fan base crowded Swift’s official website, it inevitably crashed. While the website was starting back up, most fans took to social media where others quickly found out the thrilling news. 

The release date is October 3rd 2025, and the album includes 12 tracks, one featuring Sabrina Carpenter. Merchandise such as CDs, vinyls, cassettes, and posters are available for order on Swift’s website for preorder and are expected to arrive around October 13th.

For Swifties, this is a long-awaited album, and lots of hints for what to expect are being hidden in plain sight. The set list has recently been posted for this new release, and more details are to come. This is surely going to be exciting,  and there’s a lot for Swifties to look forward to in the coming weeks!
