On October 24th, 2024, the girls’ varsity volleyball team played their senior night against Liverpool High School at home. Seniors Kalyna Dannenberg, Sydney McIntyre, and Larah Schepp, were featured before the game began. Pink and blue senior night shirts were worn by the team for the spirit and promotion of their game during the school day.
The game started off steady, Liverpool gained one point after the first set. After the second set, FM leveled with LHS by gaining a point. Luckily, for the third and fourth set, FM won points for both of them. FM volleyball ended up winning 3-1 against Liverpool. The game ended with the winning spike made by Dannenberg.
The volleyball team has been very successful this year, winning nine out of twelve games played total! Be sure to keep up with their sectional games coming up within the next few weeks. The Hornets are the #1 seed in Class AA and will play next at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6th at home where the team will face the winner of the Auburn vs. Oswego match up.
