With the year already close to wrapping up, let’s take a quick moment to look at what to expect from 2024.

November 5th of 2024 will not be an ordinary election day. On the national level, 33 senators and all 435 seats of the House of Representatives will be up for election, and of course, the highly anticipated presidential election will take place, which will prove extremely critical towards the future of this country.

Sports events are also making special appearances next year. Whether you are in the electric atmosphere of a stadium crowd or in the comfort of your cozy living room, you can always find the sports events they wish to watch. Just like any year, annual events such as the Super Bowl, Indy 500, NBA Finals, March Madness, PGA championship, Wimbledon, and Tour de France will be viewed by their respective fanbases. But do not count out the 2024 Summer Olympics (as well as the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris)! If you are a fan of surfing, sport climbing, skateboarding, or breaking, your time has finally come, as these four sports will be a part of the Olympic games and are sure to be popular.

Attention movie fanatics!!! 2024 has quite the lineup for released movies. Anticipated sequels include “Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning, Part Two,” “Inside Out 2,” “Despicable Me 4,” and “Gladiator 2.”  IMDb of course has its predictions on the highest grossing movies next year, with “Deadpool 3” and “Avatar 3” taking up the top two slots.

Ready for a rare occurrence? On April 8th, one will be able to view a total solar eclipse. As stated by NASA, “After the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States will be on Aug. 23, 2044.” Just make sure to wear appropriate eye protection, so that you can harmlessly enjoy this experience!

And one last positive note- if you feel like 2024 will be quite an overwhelming year, do not forget that your friend, February 29th, can give you the extra time you may need!
