FM’s Varsity Crew team races at National Championships

The FM varsity crew team was victorious at States in Saratoga on May 14, 2022, including the women’s junior 8 and senior 4 placing first scholastically, and the men’s junior 4 placing second scholastically. The outstanding performances from these teams earned them spots in the National Scholastic Rowing Championships.
The teams prepared tirelessly for their trip to nationals in Camden, New Jersey. They left on Thursday, May 26, and raced on Friday and Saturday. This was the first time in many years that the team has taken this many boats to nationals in one season, and the coaches, Cusano, Lim, and Withers, could not be more proud of their rowers. In the end, the men’s junior 4 placed fourth in the nation, followed by the women’s senior 4 placing thirteenth and the women’s junior 8 placing twelfth in their respective categories.
